HTM has started mounting additional handholds on the new urban trams. An additional rail is being fitted to the ceiling across from the doors in four locations on the trams. There will also be additional rails next to the doors. Many passengers have indicated to us that they would like more handhold options and, along with the upgraded and additional hanging straps,the rails are being installed in response to that. We expect to introduce these to all 60 trams by the end of this year.
